Partial discharge detection in Transformer with localization of transformer fault or thermal or arcing fault by using Acoustic Emission Technique through multichannel equipment with piezo-electric sensors between frequency ranges of 10 kHz to 400 kHz without any electrical connections.
Partial discharge detection in Transformer, Switchgear, Cables, GIS provides an indication of localized points of degradation in the insulation system. Detecting these weak points is of interest for condition-based maintenance, asset replacement programs and improving overall network reliability. With on-line / off-line PD detection, tests can be done under normal working conditions with equipment in-service. Continuous monitoring can also be achieved in which measurements are made over an extended period. This Equipment can be also use for PD measurement in Ultra-High Frequency Bandwidth with supporting accessories.
